The Steps In Order.

  1. Step 01

    Uptime Config Gate

    Checks that a keyword to look for is set (the address defaults to your home page) and stops if the keyword is missing or the address is malformed.

  2. Step 02

    Ensure UptimeRobot Keyword Monitor

    Looks for an UptimeRobot monitor for your site and creates a keyword monitor if none exists. An existing plain monitor is left as is.

  3. Step 03

    External Vantage Read UptimeRobot

    Reads the current status, incidents and response times from UptimeRobot.

  4. Step 04

    On Site Probe And Classification

    Loads the page from your own server and classes the result, such as up, down, maintenance, blocked or keyword missing.

  5. Step 05

    Uptime Confirmation Loop

    Repeats a failed check up to 3 times before calling the site down. A bot-wall block is reported as needing an allowlist and is not retried.

  6. Step 06

    Vantage Point Report

    Summarises what each of the two checks saw, UptimeRobot and your own server.

  7. Step 07

    Fleet Verdict And Report

    Reports a real incident only when both checks fail, then writes the final uptime report.
