4 steps

The Steps In Order.

  1. Step 01

    Cron Spawn State And Environment

Tests whether WP-Cron can start (an approximate loopback test). If it is switched off in config, that is noted, not failed.

  2. Step 02

    Classify Cron Events

Flags events that are stuck or overdue, scheduled twice with the same arguments, or have no code registered for them (marked verify, not delete).

  3. Step 03

    Action Scheduler Audit

Reports the Action Scheduler queue on its own, kept apart from WordPress cron.

  4. Step 04

    Cron Health Report

Writes the health report, with any suggested clean up described but not carried out.
