Crawls about 50 pages with Firecrawl (25 without) and ranks broken links by search impact.
What you get
A written Markdown report of broken images and missing alt text, in priority order.
What it looks at
- Images in rendered pages and stored content
- Missing alt text, and empty alt text to review as decorative
- Whether each image address and local file loads
The Steps In Order.
- Step 01
Gateway And Site Inventory
Confirms the connection works, records the setup, checks the site is public and counts published content.
- Step 02
Firecrawl Rendered Image Discovery
Crawls up to about 50 pages with Firecrawl, or the site's own pages if it is not connected, to find lazy-loaded and background images that stored content misses. Images added only by JavaScript can be missed.
- Step 03
Onsite Content And Alt Scan
Reads the images in your posts and pages, checks each alt text and confirms local files exist on disk.
- Step 04
Image Status Check Fail Closed
Checks each image address. Only a clear 4xx or 5xx counts as broken. Redirects, timeouts, access blocks and non-image responses are listed as unknown. A file confirmed missing on disk is broken. Checks stop at 300 images.
- Step 05
Broken Image And Alt Report
Writes a prioritised report of broken images and missing alt text.
Which Of Your Sites Needs Looking At?
The free audit looks at the site from the outside, from the address alone. Connect the site afterwards to let playbooks run.
We suggest connecting a staging copy of your site first, before your live site.
