No install needed for the audit. We suggest connecting a staging copy of your site first, before your live site.

How it connects: you paste a restricted API key (it starts with rk_live_ or rk_test_) that you set to Read for the resources Protuno reads. Stripe recommends restricted keys over full secret keys for automated tools.
Set Read for Balance, Charges, Disputes, Subscriptions and Payouts, and leave everything else on None.
you see: A restricted key starting rk_live_ or rk_test_ with only the Read permissions you set.
you see: Protuno confirms it can reach the Stripe account.
you see: The reads Protuno can use, matched to the key's actual permissions.
Writes ask you first by default, and this connector has no write tool.
you see: A list of the reads that run on their own.
you see: A sentence such as 'Protuno can read the balance, charges, disputes, subscriptions and payouts on this Stripe account.'
No specific plan. Any Stripe account with API access can create restricted keys.
Stripe's rate limits page gives a global API limit of 100 requests per second in live mode and 25 requests per second in a sandbox, measured per account. Individual endpoints are capped at 25 per second unless Stripe notes otherwise. Exceeding a limit returns HTTP 429.
This connector is read only. It cannot move money, so no charges, refunds or payouts, and it cannot delete customers or manage API keys.
Reads are live API calls at the time Protuno asks, so results reflect the account at that moment.
The most common cause is a restricted key missing the Read permission for that resource, which returns an invalid request error rather than data. The fix is to edit the key in Stripe and set Read on that resource.
In the Stripe Dashboard, go to Developers > API keys and expire or delete the restricted key. Disconnecting in Protuno does not revoke the key at Stripe. Delete it there to cut access for good.
Capability names and default settings (on its own or ask first) are Protuno's own, and they can change as the product develops. Playbook plan, schedule and date come from Protuno's agent pages. Protuno last confirmed this connector's build status on 13 Oct 2026. Vendor limits and permissions on this page follow the vendor's public documentation as reviewed on 13 Oct 2026. The vendor's own page is the final word.
The free audit looks at the site from the outside. Connect tools afterwards, one capability at a time.
