The Steps In Order.

    Hardening Gateway And Clean State Gate

    Checks Protuno can reach your site and looks for obvious signs of compromise, and stops if it finds any. It also checks the server type, HTTPS and Jetpack, which decide which changes can be applied.

  2. Step 02

    Hardening Backup Gate And Plan

    Reminds you to take your own full off site backup, snapshots the settings it will change and plans the changes.

  3. Step 03

    Apply Safe Hardening

    Applies only the safe changes one at a time, checks the site after each, and undoes a change if the site stops responding. On nginx the .htaccess changes are left as manual.
