# Connect Protuno and build my sites' Brain

Connect Protuno (protuno.com) for me, then help me build my WordPress sites' Brain. Protuno keeps a Brain for each site: what the business is, how the site is built and run, and my rules, so every job on it starts from what is true about it. You do the thinking on my own AI plan.

1. Connect Protuno, unless its tools (such as protuno_guide or list_my_sites) are already available to you and protuno_guide's first line reads "This Protuno: https://protuno.com/api/mcp". If it names a different address, that is another Protuno with other sites (the Protuno app on this computer and protuno.com are separate), so connect anyway: connecting replaces that entry.
   - Claude Code: connect me with these commands, and run them yourself. Don't download and run a script (`curl | sh` is blocked in many Claude Code setups). It is the same sign-in, one Allow in my browser:
     1. Run `claude mcp remove protuno -s user; claude mcp remove protuno -s local; curl -sS -X POST "https://protuno.com/api/mcp/connect/start?format=text" -d app=claude-code`. It prints `id`, `secret`, `code`, `url` and `server` lines.
     2. Tell me in one line: "Your browser will open Protuno. Sign in and press Allow." Then open the `url` (Mac `open`, Linux `xdg-open`, Windows `start`). If it does not open, show me the link and the code.
     3. Wait for my Allow and add Protuno in one command, with the id, secret and server from step 1 put in (timeout 600000, run nothing else meanwhile). It never prints the key; never show it to me: `for i in $(seq 1 270); do R=$(curl -sS -X POST "https://protuno.com/api/mcp/connect/poll?format=text" -d "id=ID" -d "secret=SECRET"); case "$R" in *status=approved*) claude mcp add --scope user --transport http protuno "SERVER" --header "x-api-key: $(printf '%s\n' "$R" | sed -n 's/^key=//p')" >/dev/null && echo "Protuno connected"; break ;; *status=denied*|*status=expired*) printf '%s\n' "$R" | grep '^status='; break ;; esac; sleep 2; done`. If it says expired or denied, start again from step 1.
     4. Add `mcp__protuno` to `permissions.allow` in ~/.claude/settings.json, so it does not ask before every Protuno tool (Protuno still asks for my yes before anything changes a site).
   - Codex or Cursor: connect me with Protuno's connect command. Run it yourself, don't ask me to. It opens Protuno in my browser, I sign in and press Allow, and it adds Protuno to you. Allow it up to 10 minutes to finish, and don't run anything else meanwhile. Use the name of the app you are: `codex` or `cursor`.
     - Mac, Linux, or Git Bash on Windows: `curl -fsSL https://protuno.com/api/mcp/connect.sh | sh -s codex`
     - Windows PowerShell: `$env:PROTUNO_APP='codex'; irm https://protuno.com/api/mcp/connect.ps1 | iex`
     - Before you run it, tell me in one line: "Your browser will open Protuno. Sign in and press Allow." When it finishes, say what it printed. Never show me the key; it doesn't print it.
     - If my browser did not open, show me the link and the code it printed. If it says the link expired or was cancelled, run it once more.
   - Then tell me to restart you so Protuno's tools load, and to resume this conversation (Claude Code: `claude --continue`, Codex: `codex resume --last`). Cursor loads it without a restart. If you can't resume, tell me to paste my prompt again: you will skip this step then.
   - If the connect command can't run where you are, add Protuno yourself and I'll sign in once: Claude Code `claude mcp add --scope user --transport http protuno https://protuno.com/api/mcp` then `/mcp`, and add `mcp__protuno` to `permissions.allow` in ~/.claude/settings.json so it does not ask before every Protuno tool; Codex `codex mcp add protuno --url https://protuno.com/api/mcp` then `codex mcp login protuno`, and add `default_tools_approval_mode = "approve"` under `[mcp_servers.protuno]` in ~/.codex/config.toml for the same reason (Protuno still asks for my yes before anything changes a site); VS Code, Windsurf or any app that can add an MCP server: a remote (Streamable HTTP) server at https://protuno.com/api/mcp, OAuth sign-in in the browser.
   - If you are a chat app and can't run commands, walk me through it step by step on my current screen:
     - Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, mobile): open Customize > Connectors (https://claude.ai/customize/connectors), choose Add custom connector, name it Protuno, paste https://protuno.com/api/mcp, then Connect and sign in to Protuno. It then works in every Claude app. So reading never asks for approval, set the connector's Read-only tools to Always allow, and "Change something with a connected service" to Always allow too: Protuno still asks in the chat before any change your Connectors settings mark Ask, and refuses anything marked Never.
     - ChatGPT: Settings > Apps > Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode, then create an app with https://protuno.com/api/mcp.
     - Any other app: add the remote MCP server https://protuno.com/api/mcp (OAuth sign-in in the browser, no API key).
2. Call `protuno_guide` and work the way it says. It also proves Protuno is connected: if you don't have it, step 1 isn't done yet.
3. Call `list_my_sites` and show me my sites with how complete each Brain is. If I have none, tell me to add one at https://protuno.com/dashboard?tab=add-site.
4. For the site I named (or the one with the emptiest Brain), call `brain_read` and show me its Brain in plain words: each folder, what Protuno already knows, and what is still missing.
5. Fill what is missing right away, without asking me first (it only reads my site): call `brain_todo`, read only the pages it lists (never change the site), and save it all with one `brain_write_notes` call. Tell me how many notes you saved and what is still missing. Then ask me for any rules the site should always follow, and save them with `add_memory` once I agree.

Don't lead with health scores, issues or fixes. If I ask about problems, security, speed or a scan, use the Health and Fixes tools then.

You are done when Protuno is connected, my site's Brain is filled as far as you can read it, and I have seen what is in it.
